Main Accountabilities:
1. Site Planning: Plans on-site project activities related to the assigned discipline with the Site Manager or Site Construction Manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinates agreements between the customer and external resources on installation/construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
2. Site Coordination and Monitoring: Responsible for coordinating all on-site activities related to the assigned discipline, from receiving the site area from the customer or Project Manager to handover. Ensures successful execution of start-up, installation/construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
3. Stakeholder Relations: Acts as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and other local organizations.
4. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Project Security: Ensures a detailed and up-to-date construction H&S plan is in place for each work package, compliant with company policies. Promotes health and safety considerations among project partners and has the authority to suspend activities in case of HSE violations. Ensures proper handling, storage, and installation of equipment, coordinating logistics for timely delivery.
5. Sub-contractors: Manages on-site sub-contractors hired by ABB to ensure quality and progress meet standards and delivery schedules.
6. Site Cost Management: Controls project costs related to site work, monitors expenses against forecasts, estimates final costs, manages petty cash, and handles local purchasing within delegated authority.
7. Documentation: Ensures all documentation is updated and maintained, using the latest revisions for construction work.
8. People Leadership and Development: Organizes, staffs, and guides the team, ensuring proper skill levels and motivation. Coordinates local accommodations, site facilities, office equipment, and petty cash.
Summary: Supervises a team for an assigned area of responsibility, ensuring proper work coordination and performance reviews. Candidates should have several years of experience as a Site Supervisor, with expertise in Site Management, HSE, Environment, Quality Assurance & Control, Installation Works, and basic knowledge of Commissioning and Civil Works.
