Mencap are seeking Female Relief Support Workers to join our team in Shipton By Beningbrough.This role requires you to be a driver.
As a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence and community involvement. Our service supports four young ladies who enjoy socialising, parties, outings, holidays, and local events. We seek caring, passionate individuals who enjoy a busy, fun-filled environment. Three of the ladies have their own vehicles, so driving is required.
What we're looking for:
* Supporting independence – budgeting, paying bills, housework, appointments, cooking healthy meals.
* Excellent communication and relationship building – supporting understanding and positive relationships.
* Community & social inclusion – helping access local activities and promote life skills.
* Personal care – assisting with medication, bathing, showering, and toileting, as needed.
This role requires you to be a driver.

Shift times:
Our services operate 24 hours. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance. Shifts are between 7am-10pm. A non-contractual sleep-in shift is available with an enhanced flat rate of £63.70.
