This is a full-time role with a fixed two-week rolling rota, working an average of 42 hours per week, across 12-hour day shifts (20:00–08:00).
There are two shift patterns available:
Pattern A: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday
Pattern B: Every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our inpatient services team on a full-time basis. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts as part of a consistent two-week rolling rota, designed to support work-life balance and predictability.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team to deliver high-quality care to patients with a range of mental health needs. This includes acute presentations of anxiety, depression, complex trauma, mood disorders, and co-occurring conditions such as addiction. You'll be expected to provide safe and effective care in accordance with best practice, the NMC Code, and our clinic's values.
Working Hours
This is a full-time role with a fixed two-week rolling rota, working an average of 42 hours per week, across 12-hour day shifts (20:00–08:00).

This structure ensures a 4-shift week followed by a 3-shift week, providing consistency and regular rest periods.
Please note: this role involves working one weekend day every week as part of the rotating pattern.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in accordance with their individual care plans
* Conduct thorough risk assessments and respond appropriately to clinical presentations
* Administer medication safely and accurately
Monitor patients' mental and physical health, escalating concerns when necessary
* Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and the wider team to support patients' recovery
* Maintain clear and accurate records, contributing to regular care reviews
* Promote a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment
* Participate in clinical supervision, audits, and quality improvement initiative
* Uphold the principles of dignity, respect, confidentiality, and person-centred care at all times
Person Specification
Essential
* Registered Nurse (Mental Health or General) with current NMC registration
* Strong clinical knowledge and awareness of common and complex mental health conditions
* Excellent communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to delivering person-centred, safe, and effective care
* Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced clinical environment
* A positive, proactive attitude toward continued learning and professional development
* Understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, and patient safety
Desirable
* Experience in a mental health inpatient setting (private or NHS)
* Experience working with patients with addictions or trauma-related disorders
* Familiarity with care planning systems and electronic patient records
* Experience supporting patients through crisis interventions or behavioural challenges
Recently qualified nurses with a strong interest in mental health are also encouraged to apply
