Overview
Fire Extinguisher Technician - South East (BN and Surrounding Areas). Responsible for the installation, inspection, servicing, and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers and related fire safety equipment. Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and British Standards, provide on-site support to a variety of clients, and maintain accurate service records. Deliver excellent customer service, manage time efficiently, and operate safely and professionally while representing the company in the field.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality service, maintenance, and support for fire extinguishers, hose reels, and fire suppression systems across a diverse client portfolio.
* Install, inspect, and maintain portable fire extinguishers, hose reels, and kitchen fire suppression systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and manufacturer guidelines.
* Ensure full compliance with relevant British Standards, industry regulations, and specific customer requirements.
* Efficiently schedule and conduct service visits to meet client needs and optimise operational effectiveness.
* Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support.
* Monitor and manage equipment, tools, and vehicle stock to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
* Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, upholding high standards of service delivery and professionalism.
Requirements
* Proven experience in the servicing and maintenance of fire extinguishers is essential.
* Hold a recognised qualification such as BAFE, FETA, or an equivalent industry accreditation.
* Background in mechanical fire protection systems, with practical field experience.
* Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and client satisfaction.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and resolve technical issues effectively.
* Flexibility to travel as required and engage in ongoing training and professional development.
* Experience with additional mechanical fire systems (e.g., hose reels or suppression systems) is highly desirable.
* Possession of a full, valid UK driving licence is required.
