The role of Trainee Sales Engineer is to be part of the existing Protec Fire Detection PLC system sales team, now part of the Bosch Group, focusing on future development and training for a System Sales Engineer position.
The company aims to grow system sales in the Hampshire area and is seeking a motivated individual to join as a sales engineer in a trainee and supporting role within a dedicated and professional sales team.
Typical Responsibilities
* Develop confidence and competence in:
* Preparing System Designs for BS 5839 (Fire Alarm and EVC) and BS 8629 (Evacuation) Systems.
* Visiting sites to conduct surveys or condition reports.
* Completing and submitting surveys and small works quotations.
* Supporting regional sales or design team resources as assigned.
* Gaining experience in sales skills, learning requirements, and techniques of a successful sales team.
* Producing Technical Submissions.
* Preparing project-specific quotations with supplementary information such as schematics, tender deliverables, qualitative and contractual information.
* Preparing and delivering PowerPoint presentations for bids.
* Delivering presentations and demonstrations to end users, M&E consultants, and electrical contractors.
* Working flexibly within a busy division and meeting short timescales.
* Understanding commercial aspects of contract quotations and order processes.
* Under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager/Business Development Manager, pursuing leads and opportunities.
* Supporting the growth of system sales for Protec Fire Detection PLC.
* Engaging with clients and attending meetings across the UK as required.
