An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 2 Health Care Support Workers to join the team at South Pembrokeshire Hospital, Sunderland Ward.
This is a 40‑bed unit focusing on slow rehabilitation/frailty. The service is consultant‑led. Admission is accepted from the community and Withybush General Hospital.
The team works alongside community, primary care and the acute site to develop an integrated rehabilitation approach to promoting patient independence and best outcomes for discharge.
Main duties
The candidate should have experience working with the elderly and understand the principles of rehabilitation nursing. Full‑time or part‑time hours available. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Level 2 in care (or equivalent) or ability to undertake on‑job induction providing theoretical knowledge of care and a range of work‑related procedures.
* Level 2 vocational qualification in a relevant health care subject.
* Ability to understand and comply with mandatory induction standards and the Code of Conduct for Health Care Support Workers in Wales.
Experience
* Experience working as part of a team.
* Previous experience caring for people in a caring capacity.
Language Skills
* Welsh speaker (Level 1).

Salary: £26,300 per annum (pro‑rata if part‑time).
