As a Deputy Head of Psychology you will support the running of our Psychology departments at both Cygnet Lodge Woking and Cygnet Hospital Woking in support of the Head of Psychology. Cygnet Lodge Woking: Cygnet Lodge Woking is a 31 bed service providing acute and high support inpatient rehabilitation (Level 2) services for men with complex mental health needs. Cygnet Hospital Woking: Cygnet Hospital Woking offers a range of mental health services for men and women. Services are delivered in a purpose-built therapeutic environment where the focus is on maximising positive outcomes and recovery. A range of therapies supports the care pathway towards independent living. The hospital is close to transport links and with ready access to the local community. Your Day-to-Day… The post holder will deputise for the Head of Department in their absence: provide professional management to qualified psychologists, assistant psychologists, other psychological therapists and ensure they are supported in their daily activities; ensure staff in the department perform in line with the standards of practice and are compliant and up-to-date with the company policies and mandatory training. The post holder will provide clinical supervision to junior staff in the department, as delegated by the Head of Department. The post holder will provide specialist training to other professionals in the hospital and will co-lead psychology department meetings. The post holder will be expected to generate and lead on projects, support and coordinate the workload of qualified psychologists, assistants, trainee psychologists and other psychological practitioners within their area. As such, they may be required to support the Head of Psychology with any disciplinary, capability or sickness processes as necessary. We are looking for someone who is A HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist with experience in a clinical forensic or mental health setting Trained in clinical supervision Minimum five years post qualification experience of working as a senior Practitioner Psychologist including substantial post-qualification experience of working across multiple service lines Substantial experience in delivering offender treatment and rehabilitation programs. Experience of developing and delivering specialist training programmes Experience of supervising professional and clinical practice of qualified and junior staff Research and audit experience Why Cygnet?
