About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our care homes, including Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you'll have the opportunity to give back to them.
Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You'll get to know residents and their families, helping to create personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll ensure high standards of care and positively influence your team. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness is your guiding principle.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administering medication. Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are also key parts of your role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent, with experience in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, excellent record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. Always communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
