Job Summary The Logistics Project Manager is responsible for the procurement and management of a number of packages to support the delivery of main works construction activities delivered by the Logistics Team. The role requires a clear understanding of how the Project is to be constructed, the programme and a thorough appreciation of the constraints and limitations of the environment in which it is to be delivered. The post holder will need to have strong stake-holder management skills to develop relationship with delivery teams and other key stakeholders. The Project operates within a structured reporting regime, and the post holder will be required to comply with these requirements. In addition, they will also be required to ensure that the works are carried out in a safe manner with due regard to the protection of the workforce, public and the environment, and in compliance with the Act, HS&W Management Plan and the relevant Work Instructions. The logistics project manager will be responsible for the procurement and management of the following packages: · Project accommodation. · Hoarding. · Minor works civils works to support site establishment, including coordination of the required designs. · Common use scaffold. · Hoisting. · Builders works in connection package. · Vehicle holding / consolidation centre establishment. Responsibilities · Comply with the requirements of Mace Dragados Joint Venture (MDJV) HS&W Management Plan and co-operate with the efforts to prevent accidents and ill health. · With the support of the MDJV logistics team members, develop scopes of work for the identified packages. · Be responsible for the delivery of the packages in terms of time, cost and quality. · Integrate and deliver the packages to ensure the safe, secure and efficient operation of the project site. · Use look-ahead programmes to produce daily, weekly and long-term plans. · Regularly report on progress of the relevant packages. · Manage risks and opportunities for the packages. · Develop and implement innovative solutions to enable the packages. · Identification and removal of project hotspots to support the construction programme. · Manage trackers and reporting processes to provide progress updates on packages. · Provide input and advice during the Procurement Process. · Assist the Procurement and Commercial Teams in development of budgets and any incentivisation targets. · Run Progress Meeting with sub-contractors as necessary.
