Your new role
As Accounts Technician, you will report in to the Finance Manager and be responsible for preparing and submitting the statutory returns such as VAT and Intrastat for bothpanies, monthly reconciliations of invoice discounting, assistance with accounts preparation and you will also need to have a basic understanding of the profit & loss and balance sheet accounts to assist with various control accounts reconciliations and other daily ad hoc duties.
What you'll need to succeed
• Qualified Accounts Technician (IATI, AAT or equivalent) OR Part Qualified Accountant, or a qualified by experience and up-to-date on current accounting standards and practices
• Goodmunication and networking skills across all levels
• Must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision-making and a hands-on approach
• Proven ability to develop and improve working procedures and processes
• Highly organised and efficient with the ability to work under pressure, manage a diverse andpeting workload, ensuring deadlines are met
• IT literate, and proficient in Sage 50 accounts and Excel.
