The Opportunity
The firm is currently seeking experienced and driven Accountants to join its growing team. The role will combine accounts preparation and tax return work, covering a variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. There will also be opportunities for training and development, with knowledge sharing forming a key part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
(varies with experience):
* Managing and supporting client relationships at all levels.
* Preparing annual accounts and working papers to a high standard, for review by managers/partners.
* Preparing corporation tax computations and returns for companies.
* Preparing income tax computations for sole traders and partnerships.
* Completing self-assessment tax returns, income & expenditure accounts, and rental accounts.
* Assisting with ad hoc accounts analysis work and correspondence.
* Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
* Maintaining client confidentiality and escalating any concerns such as money laundering, complaints, or unethical practices.
* Developing working knowledge of Xero and Sage (training provided as required).
