How the role will make an impact:
The job holder is responsible for all aspects of financial management on site including assisting in the production of monthly management accounts.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Assist senior management in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data.
* Assist with accounting procedures and assist with the preparation of forecasts, budgets and risk analysis.
* Assume responsibility of cost accounting tasks and be both a strategist and decision maker.
* Contribute to the decision-making process of management that will ensure business growth and long term success.
* Clear ability to work closely with operational stakeholders to measure, monitor and drive financial improvements within the business unit.
* Assist with finance transformation activities.
* Assist in the preparation of the monthly Management Account and Management Information packs to relevant reporting deadlines.
* Support the Finance Manager in creating a strong and robust controls framework.
Key Skills:
* Qualified in CIMA, ACCA or working towards a professional qualification.
* Experience in using Hyperion Financial Management package would be an advantage.
* Excellent knowledge of financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel and Power-point.
* Solid knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices.
* Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting.
* Excellent knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
* Analytical mind.
* Positive team player, working with all aspects of business to provide constructive challenges.
* A strong inclination for and interest in system and process improvement. The individual must be capable of using their initiative to propose improvements.
