Joiner/Kitchen Fitter - Experienced (Greater Manchester) Location: Greater Manchester Area (Various sites) Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience (Self-Employed basis/Day Rate negotiable) About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and reliable Joiner/Kitchen Fitter to join our team on a self-employed basis for projects across the Greater Manchester area. You'll be responsible for executing all aspects of high-quality joinery and kitchen installation, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.
This role requires an individual who takes immense pride in their craftsmanship and can demonstrate a proven track record of successful installations. Key Responsibilities Full Kitchen Installation: Complete fitting of all kitchen units, worktops (laminate, solid wood, and occasionally quartz/granite templating/fitting coordination), appliances, plinths, and trim.
General Joinery: Undertake various first and second-fix joinery tasks as required, including door hanging, skirting boards, architraves, custom cabinetry, and minor structural alterations. A
ccurate Measurement & Cutting: Read and interpret technical drawings and plans, taking precise measurements and cutting materials accurately. Quality Control:
Ensure all work meets the required specifications, quality standards, and building regulations. Site Management: Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times, adhering to all health and safety guidelines. Client Interaction:
Communicate professionally and clearly with clients and other tradespeople on site. Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during installation to maintain project timelines.
Requirements Experience: Proven, extensive experience as a professional Joiner and Kitchen Fitter. Portfolio: Must be able to present a high-quality, up-to-date portfolio or digital evidence (photos/videos) showcasing your skill level and previous kitchen and joinery projects. Own Tools: Must possess a comprehensive range of professional, reliable, and well-maintained joinery and kitchen fitting tools, including power tools and transport capable of carrying equipment and materials. Transport: Reliable van/transport essential for commuting to various sites across Greater Manchester and surrounding areas. Self-Motivation: Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work independently and manage time effectively.
