About you
* Experienced Nursing Assistant (Senior Care Assistant level 3)
* Reliable and trustworthy, able to work as part of a team and unsupervised
* Self‑motivated, able to motivate and lead a team of care assistants
* Leadership skills, able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to ad‑hoc situations
* Patient, empathetic and caring, able to communicate with others using both oral and written skills
Main Purpose of the Job
Nursing Assistants provide an essential role in contributing to the smooth running of our homes for older people. Our Nursing staff lead on the social care and support for our residents.
Reporting to the Home Manager, you would be responsible for allocating duties to a team of Health Care Assistants – acting as a role model in the delivery and promotion of best practice at all times. You would also help to provide personal care to our residents and support with their nutrition, mobility and well‑being.
Clinical tasks (once assessed as competent)
* Checking blood sugar levels
* Changing simple dressings
* PEG feeding
* Medication administration
* Basic observations
* Catheter care
Typical Shift patterns for Day or Night Contracts
Day Shift Contracts
* 8am until 8pm
* 8am until 2pm
* 2pm until 8pm
Night Shift Contracts
* 8pm until 8am

Successful applicants would require two written references, a standard/enhanced DBS (depending on role) and evidence of a right to work in the UK check.
