Technical Lead - Birmingham, West Midlands
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) – 2 days a week in their offices
Salary: 70k + benefits
Erin Associates are recruiting for a Birmingham based software house seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to own architecture, technical direction, and best practices for a small, high performing development team.
Core Responsibilities
* Lead architecture across Node.js, React, and .NET
* Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to developers
* Design scalable SQL and NoSQL data solutions
* Drive performance, scalability, and cost-effective cloud architecture
* Produce technical designs, prototypes, and architectural decisions
* Produce clear documentation
* Collaborate closely with algorithms and data processing teams
Essential Experience
* 5+ years cloud full-stack development
* 2+ years in a Senior or Lead Developer role
* Proven experience managing and mentoring developers
* Strong enterprise cloud architecture background
* Comfortable working hands-on within the code
Required Skills
* Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, C# (.NET)
* Frontend: React, TypeScript
* Data: Strong SQL, MongoDB (or equivalent NoSQL)
Cloud & Delivery
* Azure (App Services, Azure Batch – production experience)
* Azure DevOps (CI/CD, repos, pipelines, boards)
The Technical lead will have a real influence over architecture and tooling and will be joining a friendly, agile, and innovative team, based in Birmingham where you will play an integral role in the development of data-rich, user-friendly applications.
