Our client is an international manufacturing and materials processing organisation with multiple sites across the UK. This position will focus on their manufacturing facilities in the South of England—specifically Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire, and Sussex—where you will be responsible for all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements across 5-6 manufacturing plants.
Within this role, you will oversee both the strategic development and practical application of HSEQ processes and systems by engaging with key stakeholders across the business, from operations and site leadership teams to production operatives.

The role involves developing the company-wide HSEQ strategy to ensure legislative compliance and fostering a strong HSEQ culture. This includes creating and implementing policies that are actively integrated into the organisation through systematic cultural change, engaging teams and stakeholders collaboratively to develop pragmatic health and safety solutions, and promoting a culture of ownership across the organisation.
Key Requirements of SHEQ Coordinator
* Experience in managing and setting HSEQ strategies within heavy industrial manufacturing, engineering, or environmental sectors
* Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, providing hands-on support in activities such as supporting sites with RAMS and SOPs
* Strong H&S knowledge, supported by Nebosh certificate or higher, or equivalent in Health and Safety
* Experience in developing, implementing, and improving management systems aligned with ISO standards (OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, 14001, 9001)
* Experience in creating and executing improvement plans for H&S activities
* Multi-site experience is desirable but not essential
* Experience working in an industrial, preferably heavy industry, environment
* Full UK driving license
