* Be the most senior Court of Protection lawyer in Leeds (with support from a national team)
* 3 days from home + national team support around you
* Clear, realistic route to partnership, not a crowded hierarchy
This is a slightly unusual role, in a good way.
You’ll be joining a national Court of Protection team, but locally, you’ll be the senior presence in Leeds. There’s already an existing caseload and client base to pick up, so you’re not starting from zero, but you will have the autonomy to shape how things develop from here.
In your first few months, the priority is getting on top of the files and building relationships with Yorkshire-based clients. You’ll also be working closely with a Partner in another office, so while you’ll have independence day‑to‑day, you won’t be left without support.
By the 12‑month mark, you’ll be fully embedded as the go‑to CoP lawyer in Leeds, running your own caseload, supporting a trainee and secretary, and starting to influence how the local offering grows.
Longer term, this role is about building something. There’s a genuine opportunity to develop the Leeds presence, strengthen client relationships and position yourself for progression within a firm that actually has space at the top.
The culture is collaborative rather than competitive. You get the infrastructure and quality work of a large firm, but without the internal politics or bottlenecks that often come with it.
