An exciting opportunity for a Group Credit Manager has become available at our Head Office. This challenging yet rewarding role involves leading Credit Control for our group of companies, reporting to the Finance Director. The role will oversee credit-related activities such as risk management, developing credit policies, and managing the team. This is an office-based position at our Head Office in Shirley, near the M42.
The successful candidate will include:
* Experience in a busy credit control team,
* Strong financial understanding,
* Problem-solving skills,
* Confidence in leading a team,
* Self-motivation and drive,
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing relationships with Credit Insurers, monitoring insured limits, submitting claims, and assisting in renewal negotiations,
* Leading monthly meetings with senior management,
* Providing management reports on debts, debtor days, collections, and other ad-hoc reports,
* Overseeing cash collection for all group companies,
* Ensuring departmental systems and protocols are effective,
* Managing the Credit Control team proactively,
* Processing credit applications and PODs,
* Making major credit decisions,
* Controlling credit limits,
* Handling litigation and insolvency matters, pursuing claims,
* Setting credit policies and managing credit notes,
* Assessing credit risk for existing and new customers,
* Maintaining strong relationships across departments,
* Reviewing sales Terms and Conditions,
* Visiting customers and sites as needed.
