IT Support Technician
* Annual Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
* Location: Gloucester, GL4
* Job Type: Full-time, Office-based
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide essential on-site support and contribute to the day-to-day technical operations, primarily within our clients Gloucester office.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Work collaboratively with an external Managed Service Provider (MSP) to provide efficient and friendly on-site IT support, including resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
* Assist in setting up new users on all systems and applications, and installing the correct hardware in the office.
* Support the ongoing modernisation from server to cloud-based infrastructure.
* Help employees with IT-related queries, including Microsoft 365, case management software, SharePoint, and remote working solutions.
* Maintain and update IT systems to ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and data protection regulations (GDPR).
* Assist in installing, configuring, and updating software applications and hardware devices.
* Support the implementation of IT security policies, monitor for potential risks, and escalate issues when necessary.
* Maintain IT asset records, user guides, and troubleshooting documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and remote working solutions.
* Strong understanding of IT systems, cybersecurity, and GDPR compliance.
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
* Willingness to travel occasionally to other office locations as needed.
* Ability to think creatively and dynamically when faced with IT challenges.
