Grade A Recruitment are working with a small SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in King’s Lynn to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by providing tailored support and helping them to thrive both academically and personally.
Responsibilities:
1. Support students with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom.
2. Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
3. Provide 1:1 and small group support to help students achieve their potential.
4. Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
5. Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
6. Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to meet students’ needs.
Requirements:
7. Previous experience working with children or young people (ideally with SEMH/ SEND).
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Patience, resilience, and a caring approach.
10. Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
11. A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
12. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEND training) desirable but not essential.
