About the Role
This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to
lead and manage all aspects of a builders' merchant branch, ensuring it achieves sales, profit, customer service, and operational targets. Responsible for staff leadership, stock control, safety compliance, and delivering an excellent customer experience to trade and retail clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Branch Operations - Oversee day-to-day operations including yard, warehouse, transport and trade counter
Sales and Commercial Performance - Drive branch sales and profitability by identifying opportunities and executing local strategies
People Leadership - Manage, motivate and develop a team
Health, Safety and Compliance - Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed
Customer Experience - Ensure all customers receive a professional and helpful service
Requirements / Skills:
Full driving licence
Experience within a merchant/plumbing/heating background
IT skills are Essential
Excellent verbal communication skills both with customers and colleagues
