Gearset, Cambridge, United Kingdom
Senior Product Manager
We are building on Salesforce to bring automation and DevOps practices to teams that need to iterate and deliver quickly. As a Senior Product Manager you will help shape and execute our product strategy, work with cross‑functional teams, and drive commercial success.
What’s the opportunity for a Senior Product Manager at Gearset?
* Join our growing and experienced Product team, laser‑focused on delighting our users, and always ready and available to support you.
* Build trusted relationships with our users to form a deep understanding of the domain and the challenges they're facing with Salesforce. Own one or more product areas, defining the strategy and roadmaps across them.
* Partner with engineering leads and UX specialists to research, understand, and solve the problems you identify.
* Partner with Product Marketing across the whole product lifecycle, from research to delivery, to craft a compelling story for the market and our customers that enables commercial success for Gearset.
* Work closely with the engineering teams on defining slices, delivering them iteratively, and learning as you go.
What you’ll achieve
* You’ll own user problems end‑to‑end, identifying, defining, and measuring outcomes, researching and validating solutions, and working closely with marketing and sales to position and bring your solution to market.
* Drive commercial outcomes by collaborating on the go‑to‑market strategy in partnership with product marketing, defining the Ideal Customer Profile, key pains, value proposition, and positioning statements, including packaging & pricing. This involves actively supporting sales in closing deals and being an integral part of that process.
* You’ll ultimately own a problem area, articulating the strategy, defining its roadmap, and demonstrating the customer and business impact of delivering that roadmap.
* You’ll support the product team, and across the wider company, in refining our product definition and development processes, and championing product thinking.
* And you’ll learn from, and share your experience with, a great team from a wide range of backgrounds in a feedback‑driven culture where you can do your best work.
About you
* You're deeply curious about uncovering the true job‑to‑be‑done: the unmet need, the unique context, and the emotional drivers compelling customers to change—whether through the JTBD framework or another rigorous approach.
* Have experience successfully bringing new capabilities to market, including defining target segments, positioning, and measuring launch success in partnership with product marketing.
* Have experience of taking ideas through the full product lifecycle, from discovery through to validation and ideally launch, with a mix of problem complexity and scope.
* Enjoy talking to users, and have an infectious passion for building products that solve clear user problems in delightful ways.
* Be great at distilling research into key problems, and taking decisions supported by evidence.
* Thrive on rapid iteration cycles with customers, using frequent touch‑points to validate, learn, and adjust quickly.
* Enjoy working across disciplines, including developers, designers, marketers and salespeople to build buy‑in and inspire them to work on your user problems and solutions together.
Great to haves
* Experience working in a B2B SaaS company.
* Experience of working in the DevOps domain.
* Experience of building products for, or working in the Salesforce ecosystem.
