An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oxford Cowley Vets for Pets for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team.

What your typical day will look like:
1. Providing an exceptional service to our clients and the very best care for their pets, acting as a key link between clients and the clinical team.
2. Building strong relationships with our clients, their pets, and the wider practice team—this will be essential to your success in the role.
3. Ensuring every client visit is a positive experience, leaving clients feeling confident in the care provided and looking forward to their next visit.
4. Welcoming clients and offering support, guidance, and reassurance, while confidently managing payments and future bookings.
5. Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice using our online booking system, so strong computer literacy is essential.
We offer both full-time and part-time hours, with a rota that includes working two weekends out of every four
The attributes required:
6. Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar client-facing role.
7. A friendly and welcoming manner, acting as the first point of contact for clients and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
8. The ability to provide confident guidance by staying up to date with practice services and any additional offerings.
9. A calm, attentive approach, with a strong focus on meeting clients’ needs at all times.
10. Enthusiasm, energy, and a genuine passion for delivering excellent service, matched by a love of pets.
11. The resilience and empathy to handle a variety of situations, from supporting clients through difficult news to sharing in the excitement of a new puppy’s first visit.
12. A positive, infectious personality that helps create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere alongside your colleagues.
