Havas Media Network is part of the sixth largest advertising network in the world, Havas Group. We are headquartered out of St Pancras, London, and along with offices in Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh, we operate globally. Our CEO is Patrick (‘Paddy’) Affleck. We also launched a dedicated B2B division, Havas Business, to help clients seize on the huge opportunity of B2B marketing for clients.
We successfully won 16 new clients and retained a further 5, including BBC, Matalan, British Red Cross, Bumble, Bethesda and Dr Marten. We have also recently won a number of industry awards, Beer and Pub Association IPA Effectiveness Silver, BBC Outdoor Media awards Brand Building (Gold), Domino’s Outdoor Media awards Cross Format (Gold), Maersk Grand Prix for Effectiveness with WARC and Kia, Best Use of Search in the UK Search awards.
We are also extremely proud of our Campaign’s Sustainability Agency Best Practice win and we are soon to be B Corp certified. About the Client
The BBC needs no introduction – one of the most famous and highly esteemed brands in the world. The account is split into two – this role will be supporting the BBC M&A team in Manchester (TV Licensing is managed out of London). The client is based in Media City, Salford, and we regularly spend time co-working in their offices; the client relationship benefits hugely from the close proximity. The BBC M&A team run Paid Media campaigns for some of the most iconic UK content brands such as The Traitors, The Apprentice, Race Across the World, Radio 1 & 2; support all international football tournaments such as the Women’s Euros and huge sporting events like the Olympics; and run always-on campaigns to support News, Masterbrand, iPlayer catalogue etc.
TheMX Client Planning Executiveis focused on helping MX Managers and MX Account Directors to ensure the BBC has the optimal media support in place. Working directly alongside your MX Manager,the role is centred around supporting the media planning process and managing the activation of advertising campaigns in various media channels like TV, radio, online, and social media.
The Client Planning Executiveshould have these skills:
1. Strong Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills via email, Teams and in person. You will be expected to engage regularly with both internal colleagues and clients.
2. Basic Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and draw insights.
3. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (email) and Teams.
4. Creative Thinking: Ability to think innovatively about solving client challenges and overcome setbacks in process.
5. Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
6. Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team.
In your first 6 months,you’ll develop the following:
7. Demonstrating Curiosity and Learning: Regularly seek new knowledge through workshops, cross-departmental projects, self-studyand analysing reports to identify trends and insights.
8. Setting Self-Development Expectations with Line Manager: Collaborate with your manager to establish clear, actionable growth goals, as well as organising regular check ins with Line Manager to monitor progress.
9. Receiving and Implementing Constructive Feedback: Actively listen to feedback, reflect on it, and implement changes for improvement.
10. Sharing Knowledge and Learning with Peers: Engage in and promote knowledge-sharing activities within your team.
11. Attention to detail: Review work carefully to catch errors and ensure it meets the requirements of the task. Examples include when reviewing reports written by other teams or drafting emails to send to the client.
12. Recognising and Correcting Mistakes: Acknowledge errors, communicate them promptly to line managers, and collaborate on solutions.
13. Commercial Awareness and Analytic Mindset: Stay informed about market trends and use performance reports to assess the effectiveness of various advertising channels, enabling data-driven decisions to optimize campaign results.
14. Organising and Managing End-to-End Campaigns: Support MX Managers and Directors in delivering media planning solutions. Take responsibility for executing campaign activation from start to finish, including updating media schematics, delivering creative assets to internal teams and external partners, reporting on performance.
15. Time Management: Independently organising and prioritising tasks based on campaign deadlines, staying in close communication with your Line Manager on progress.
