We are currently working with a family run business who are seeking a Sous chef in Perthshire for their gastro pub with rooms.
A very busy restaurant destination, in the heart of Perthshire, for both locals and tourists.
Fast paced, high pressure kitchen with numbers increasing significantly in the summer months.
As Sous Chef you will -
Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with hotel standards
Supervise food preparation and cooking across all kitchen sections
Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
Assist in developing new recipes and seasonal menus
Enjoy and have a passion for working with fresh Scottish produce
What we need from you -
Able to demonstrate that you come from a high-volume background as Sous
Be able to lead by example to ensure consistency is filtered throughout the team
Have a firm but fair management approach as the restaurant needs a talented and professional Sous Chef to ensure the high expectations are met
Can step up in the absence of the head chef.
Have good sound knowledge of food safety
Excellent management and organisational skills
What you get in return -
£16/hr - average 48 hour week (£40k per annum) - hourly paid - so you get paid for all your hard work!!
As sous you get to work with a great team who are loyal, hardworking and ambitious
Tronc approx. £3-4k per annum paid monthly in arrears
Excellent off site staff accommodation available
