Accounts Assistant - Billings
Location: Maidenhead (Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
Salary: £30,000 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term (with a view to go permanent)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (35 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP
Requirement: Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)

We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected organisation in Maidenhead, seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their dedicated Billings Team on an initial 6-month contract. If you’re confident with numbers, a whizz with Excel, and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders, this could be the ideal next step in your finance career.

The Role: This role supports all billing operations for a portfolio of long-standing clients, including processing charges, liaising with third-party providers, and helping to streamline the billing process. You’ll need to be organised, analytical, and confident in client-facing communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responding to day-to-day billing and payment queries
• Accurately calculating charges and issuing invoices
• Processing credits, claims, payments, and deposits
• Liaising with third-party credit and direct debit providers
• Supporting bulk billing runs and year-end billing tasks
• Managing ad hoc and sundry billing requirements
• Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling payments
• Suggesting and implementing improvements in billing processes
• Ensuring compliance with policies and standards
• Supporting the wider finance function as needed
What You’ll Need:
• Previous experience in a billing, finance, or accounting admin role
• Sound knowledge of financial systems and billing cycles
• Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, filtering, and sorting)
• Strong communication skills and professional manner
• A keen eye for detail and proactive problem-solving mindset
• Ability to manage workloads and prioritise during peak times
• Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and Business Central (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
