Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health conditions, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, support patients in their recovery journey, and promote mental health awareness within the community.

Responsibilities

* Assess and evaluate patients' mental health needs through comprehensive interviews and observations.
* Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
* Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, fostering a therapeutic environment.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance care delivery.
* Educate patients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices within the clinical setting.

Requirements

* Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with a valid NMC pin
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
* Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention techniques.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating leadership skills when necessary.
* Empathetic, resilient, and committed to patient-centred care
* Experience in mental health settings (desirable but not essential – newly qualified nurses welcome)
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Excellent clinical decision-making skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,705.60 per year
