School Site Manager - Canterbury Hours: Monday to Friday Pay: £14 per hour Employer: Working on behalf of Academics for a local school Academics are currently recruiting a full-time School Site Manager to support a friendly local school in Canterbury. This is a hands-on, leadership role ideal for someone with experience in caretaking, facilities management, or school site operations. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the opening, closing, and security of the school site Managing general site maintenance, repairs, and building upkeep Carrying out regular health & safety checks and ensuring compliance Supervising and coordinating site staff, contractors, and cleaning teams Setting up rooms and facilities for school activities, events, and functions Ensuring school grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained Supporting staff with ad-hoc site and facilities-related tasks Implementing and maintaining site policies and operational procedures The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a site management, caretaker, or facilities role (preferred) Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff and contractors Practical, hands-on, and proactive approach to problem-solving Solid understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to work independently and take initiative Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) This is a fantastic opportunity to work full-time, school-friendly hours in a supportive and welcoming environment.
