Why this role matters
Business and Economics are increasingly popular across our school, with strong attainment at GCSE and post 16. We see first hand how these subjects equip students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to create real opportunities. Many go on to start their own ventures or work in our local economy, applying what they've learned in real world contexts.
What you'll do
* Lead the Business & Economics faculty (years 10-13) to deliver high quality teaching, learning and outcomes.
* Design and refine an ambitious, real world curriculum that builds powerful knowledge and employability skills.
* Grow uptake and success across GCSE and A level/Level 3 pathways; setting stretching, achievable targets.
* Coach, mentor and develop colleagues, modelling excellent practice and fostering a collaborative team culture.
* Champion enrichment and employer encounters (e.g., enterprise activities, guest speakers, visits, competitions).
* Build strong relationships with students, families and colleagues, we know it takes a community to set school leavers up for success.
* Use assessment and data intelligently to drive continuous improvement and close gaps.
What you'll bring
* Passion for outstanding teaching and learning, grounded in real world application.
* Proven ability to raise attainment and sustain high standards in Business and/or Economics.
* A hands‑on approach to coaching and mentoring - within and beyond your faculty.
* Relational leadership: you're adept at building trust, communicating clearly and bringing people on the journey with you.
* Belief in the trust's vision - that background should never limit a child's choices.
Why join our school?
