Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be VAG trained, possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in vehicle maintenance and repair and diagnostics. This role requires the ability to read and interpret schematics, operate hand and power tools, and perform heavy lifting as necessary. A commitment to excellent customer service is essential, as you will be interacting with clients to provide updates on their vehicle's condition and required repairs.
Duties
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tyre rotations
* Utilise schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems
* Execute equipment repair tasks, ensuring all work meets safety standards
* Assemble components using hand tools and power tools effectively
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
* Assist with answering the phone to customers as we are a small team and help each other out throughout the day

Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in a similar role or possess relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance And VAG trained preferred or good experience with VAG vehicles. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is advantageous, alongside a proven track record of using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this position.
