Job Description:
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager and store teams in executing operational directives. This includes ensuring excellent customer experiences, maximizing sales, managing expenses and costs, maintaining store presentation, and protecting company assets.
What you’ll do
Leadership:
* Motivate teams through recognition programs, contests, and customer compliments.
* Mentor teams and exemplify leadership qualities.
* Communicate effectively during meetings, huddles, and coaching sessions.
* Develop and lead recruitment strategies for the store team.
Operations:
* Ensure compliance with visual standards, store maintenance, and pricing.
* Achieve shrink targets through team education, LP enforcement, and inventory control.
* Follow processes for tech shop service programs, maintenance, and compliance.
* Create and monitor store schedules for sales and support functions.
* Support store and equipment maintenance, using FOS fleet management systems.
* Implement planograms and merchandising directives.
* Oversee shipping, receiving, and returns processing according to policies.
Customer Service:
* Lead the customer experience and develop customer relationships.
* Support the sales team with customer service.
* Resolve customer concerns effectively.
Training:
* Coach and develop management and store teams through setting expectations and feedback.
* Create development plans and conduct annual appraisals.
* Ensure team completes required training on time.
Work hours include retail evenings, weekends, and holidays.

* At least 4 years of retail experience, including 12-24 months in leadership.

* Knowledge of automotive parts and aftermarket industry.
* Understanding of automotive operating systems, including POS.
Assets include:
* Valid driver’s license.
* Automotive training or certification.
