Join one of the UK’s most significant energy infrastructure projects. As a Spare Parts Catalogue Development Engineer (Procurement Engineer), you will support the safe and efficient operation of Hinkley Point C (HPC) by helping build and manage the operational spares catalogue for the power plant. This role sits within the Spares and Procurement Engineering Team, which is responsible for ensuring that all plant spare parts are technically compliant, traceable, and ready to support the station throughout its lifecycle. You do not need prior procurement engineering experience – we welcome candidates from maintenance, engineering, planning, or project environments who want to develop expertise in procurement engineering. You will receive structured training, technical documentation, and support from senior engineers to become fully authorised in the role. Job overview Reporting to the Procurement Engineering Lead, you will support the creation and quality assurance of the operational spares catalogue. Your work will ensure that spare parts data is accurate, compliant with nuclear quality requirements, and integrated into the plant’s digital asset management systems. You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams to analyse data, validate catalogue entries, and improve digital tools used to manage plant spares. Your Impact * Support the production of the operational spares catalogue for HPC. * Apply nuclear quality assurance grades to catalogue deliverables. * Compile, organise and analyse technical data required for bulk catalogue creation. * Perform quality reviews of catalogue entries to ensure compliance and accuracy. * Contribute to the development and improvement of digital tools used for catalogue and asset data management. What You Bring We are looking for an engineer who is organised, analytical and comfortable working with structured processes and technical data. * An engineering background with Technician/Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline. * Experience in maintenance, engineering, procurement engineering, supply chain or project environments. * Strong collaboration and communication skills. * Experience using asset management systems (e.g., Asset Suite) and data reporting tools. * Proficiency with Office 365 tools such as Excel and Word. Experience with inventory management, logistics or procurement processes is an advantage.
