Your new role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of a fleet of material handling equipment, including telehandlers. Working directly at customer sites, you will deliver high-quality maintenance, servicing, and repair support while acting as a professional and trusted representative of the business.Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing on hire machinery at customer locations
Responding to breakdowns and delivering efficient, high-quality repairs
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and technical faults on-site
Providing excellent customer service and building strong working relationships
Working closely with operations and support teams to improve service delivery
Accurately completing service reports, repair documentation, and customer recordsThis role offers a high level of autonomy, variety, and exposure to a wide range of modern equipment and working environments.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience repairing and servicing plant or material handling equipment, including telehandlers
A recognised mechanical qualification in plant, agricultural, or similar engineering (desirable but not essential)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
Good organisation and attention to detail
