Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Burnley
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

An Alternative Provision in Burnley is seeking a compassionate and committed Level 2 Pastoral Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time, term-time only role, providing vital support to students who face social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide pastoral support to students, helping to create a safe and supportive learning environment
* Work one-to-one and in small groups to support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
* Build trusting relationships with students and act as a positive role model
* Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to deliver targeted interventions
* Monitor and report on pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
Requirements:
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience working with young people who present with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A calm, patient and resilient approach
