The Primary Inclusion and Wellbeing Service provides a range of services to children, young people and families who, for a variety of reasons, are finding it difficult to engage with education. Our children and young people have often experienced a range of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and some have diagnosed conditions such as Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) - recognising this informs our practice. From P1 to P7, we support our learners to engage in bespoke packages of education both on-site and in community based settings, even when life is at its most challenging. Our pupils benefit from being surrounded by a resilient, caring, skilled team of staff who see beyond their behaviour and work to their strengths. The significant pastoral role carried by all Primary Inclusion and Wellbeing Service teachers is a key attraction for many who have joined us. We are looking for a fully qualified GTCS primary registered teacher in the Primary Inclusion and Wellbeing Service. South Lanarkshire Council schools have recently undergone an £m+ modernisation programme. The aim of this programme is simple - to create high quality teaching & learning opportunities for pupils with additional support needs in South Lanarkshire - fit for the twenty first century. During this time we have built and modernised numerous Schools. It is our mission to make positive meaningful changes in the lives of young people. We aim to provide an exceptional learning and working environment for pupils and staff and work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals. We are committed to the education, care and welfare of young people in a childcare environment. You will assist in the delivery of the curriculum and contribute to whole school initiatives, as appropriate. You will carry out the range of duties outlined in Annexe B of “A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century”
