Job Description:
Staff Power Group are looking for an experienced Health & Safety / Quality Associate to join a well-established and growing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in quality systems, compliance, and workplace safety to play a key role within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Quality
Supervise inspection activities and ensure all goods inwards are checked to required standards.
Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained.
Control quarantined parts and non-conforming stock.
Liaise with customers regarding quality issues, rejections, and improvement requests.
Work closely with suppliers on quality concerns, supplier development, and performance improvements.
Support new product introductions, supplier assessments, and customer approvals.
Compile and maintain quality documentation including PPAP and ISO records.
Produce KPI reports and management reports.
Support continuous improvement and Kaizen activities.
Health & Safety
Support management in ensuring policies and procedures meet current legislation.
Promote a positive health & safety culture across the business.
Carry out risk assessments and ensure training requirements are completed.
Investigate accidents and recommend preventative actions.
Deliver health & safety inductions for new starters.
Support the appointment and training of First Aiders / Fire Marshals.
Other Duties
Create and maintain training procedures and manuals.
Review and update ISO flowcharts and work instructions.
Identify areas for operational improvement and staff development.
Provide cover during absence within the department.
Lead 5S and workplace organisation initiatives.
Travel within the UK / EU if required.
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience within Quality and Health & Safety roles.
Strong knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems.
Experience carrying out risk assessments and investigations.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Good IT and reporting skills.
IMDS / CBAM knowledge would be advantageous.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
Whats on Offer
£27,000 - £28,000 DOE
Permanent Full-Time role based on a successful 6-month probation period
Working Hours: Monday Thursday 8:30am 5:00pm & Friday 8:30am 3:00pm
