We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Teacher of English to join our forward‑thinking secondary school on a temporary, fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on Key Stage 3 (ages 11‑14) and Key Stage 4 (ages 14‑16) teaching.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess high‑quality, engaging lessons in your subject specialism.
* Manage a full timetable of classes, ensuring exceptional progress and positive outcomes for all students aged 11‑16.
* Use formative and summative assessment strategies to guide student learning and provide timely feedback.
* Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental plans.
* Act as a form tutor and actively participate in whole‑school life and training.
* Maintain excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in the teaching subject or a closely related field.
* Possesses recent, demonstrable experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
* Exhibits excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
* Is passionate about the subject and committed to raising student attainment.
* Demonstrates a strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements.
* Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
