You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle—from initial site identification, negotiation, and land acquisition to leading a team through planning, construction, and ongoing asset management. Building relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers will be key.
This role offers ownership of the full development and planning process from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, multitasking ability, and meeting tight deadlines. Note: You will be expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days per week.
Internal Role Name: Senior Acquisitions Consultant
Responsibilities:
* Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals for new stores
* Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage due diligence
* Manage planning application lifecycle from submission to discharge of conditions
* Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects
* Develop and maintain relationships with authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers
* Manage the full development and planning process from start to finish
* Real estate management of freehold and leasehold assets
Requirements:
* Self-motivated with a success-driven attitude
* Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), preferably in a relevant field
* Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning
* MRICS qualification is preferred
* Strong negotiation skills and a well-established network
* Sound legal and property knowledge
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Analytical mindset
* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK
