History Supply Teacher

About the Role
Teachers UK are recruiting on behalf of one of our partner schools in Nottinghamshire for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher. This temporary position will run from 23rd February until the end of the academic year, providing essential support to the Humanities department.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring History lessons, encouraging students to develop a strong understanding of historical events, critical thinking skills, and a passion for the subject.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Create an engaging and stimulating learning environment
Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department
Support the wider school ethos and safeguarding proceduresEssential Requirements
Experience teaching History in a secondary school setting
Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to motivate and engage students
Availability to start on 23rd February and commit until the end of the academic yearDesirable
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching GCSE History
Ability to contribute to wider school life and extracurricular activitiesWhat We Offer
