Relief Retail Security Officer
High Wycombe, Slough, Aylesbury, Oxford areas
£13.97 per hour
Minimum 8‑hour contract
Shift pattern: Monday – Saturday 08:00 to 22:00, Sunday 10:00 to 17:00. Must be flexible to work any day or time and pick up shifts on short notice.
Minimum Experience: 1 year security experience. Retail experience is essential. Must have full UK driving licence and own vehicle (travel within approximately 30 miles radius each way).
Job Overview
Provide safety and security to customers' property, people and assets in line with published assignment instructions, achieving key performance indicators. Deliver exceptional customer service to staff and visitors, and undertake continuous self‑development training.
Main Duties
* Use ASCONE to maintain site security.
* Conduct regular patrols.
* Deliver customer service to staff and visitors.
* Support staff with reasonable requests.
* Prepare accurate incident and report entries.
Training
Complete all required competency training and any additional training as directed by the Operations Manager. Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Identify and report health & safety hazards and potential hazards on site.
* Stay alert to threats or changes and take appropriate action to mitigate risk.
* Diffuse situations proactively and reactively to avoid escalation.
* Maintain professional conduct with difficult situations and challenging customers.
* Record incidents accurately on the provided system.
* Contact emergency services and Control Room for serious incidents.
