Role Overview: As a TA, you will work closely with teachers to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. You may be assigned to support the whole class, small groups, or individual pupils with specific learning needs. Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant: Provide general classroom support, assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and delivery. Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning objectives. Support pupils with special educational needs or those who require additional help. Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive environment. Assist with administrative tasks, classroom displays, and learning resources. Requirements for Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable. A calm, nurturing, and patient attitude when supporting pupils. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
