Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Amble to recruit a proactive and organised Attendance Officer to join their team before October half term.
This is a key role within the school, focused on improving pupil attendance and punctuality, working closely with staff, pupils, and families to support student engagement and achievement.
The Role:
* Monitoring daily student attendance and punctuality.
* Maintaining accurate records and producing reports for senior staff.
* Liaising with parents/carers to follow up on absences.
* Working with pastoral teams and external agencies to address attendance concerns.
* Supporting the school’s safeguarding procedures and promoting a culture of high expectations.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working in a school office or administrative role (attendance experience desirable).
* Strong IT skills, with the ability to use school MIS systems effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff.
* A proactive, organised, and solution-focused approach.
