Summary of Duties
This is a full‑time paid position for Steuben Rural Health Network at The Institute for Human Services, Inc. (IHS), a nonprofit capacity‑building organization located in Bath, NY.
The Steuben Rural Health Network Manager will assist in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and promotion of high‑quality internal and external programs and events for the nonprofit sector.
Position Details
Full‑time, 37.5 hours/week
Essential Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and evaluate health education programs, strategies, and interventions within the scope of the network work plan (Girls on the Run, 2-1-1 Teen Helpline, Healthy Living Workshops, Community Health Improvement Plan Interventions, CPR/AED/FA, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Teen Mental Health First Aid, etc.).
* Evaluate the success of the networks’ endeavors and seek guidance from Director of Community Relations when needed.
* Organize and work with community groups to direct educational efforts to influence public attitudes and behaviors regarding given health needs.
* Develop and improve community education material and other tools that encourage healthy decisions.
* Establish and maintain ongoing collaborative relationships and exchange information with community members, organizations, institutions, and other health professionals.
* Act as a liaison and representative on community committees and coalitions, sharing resources, and encouraging collaboration to meet common goals.
* Handle logistical details, volunteer recruitment/management and facility requirements for meetings and events.
* Assist the Director of Community Relations with statistical evaluation of program, writing of reports, budget preparation, grant writing, etc.
* Prepare materials for media, as well as marketing and outreach focused on the SRHN work plan.
* Prepare and develop programmatic press releases, public service announcements, media campaigns, and participate in community outreach events.
* Adhere to all program budgets.
* Coordinate and manage IHS' Emergency Action Plan and Cardiac Emergency Response Plan.
* Attend IHS Leadership meetings and plan and organize quarterly SRHN Advisory Committee meetings.
* Provide oversight and management of budgets and ensure that the contracting agency and/or funder receives claims/vouchers/reporting utilizing proper financial control processes.
* Participate in internal organizational committees to include professional development opportunities and IHS Education.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, and/or Associate degree required in health education, health science, community health, wellness and fitness, human services, or another health‑related field +3 years experience in project management and/or program development and implementation.
Special Requirements
Work Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Weekend and evening work may be necessary for special events. Must be willing to travel to include air travel. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds as part of regular job duties. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must have reliable transportation (personal vehicle required for travel between work sites/locations – mileage reimbursed at IRS rate according to IHS policies).
