UK Operations Manager⭐ Location: UK (multi-depot, travel required) – Ideally based in either the Newcastle, Dundee, or Gloucester areas. Our client is a specialist industrial rental equipment provider to a wide range of industries across the UK and Ireland. They are seeking a UK Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations. This role involves managing operational performance, profitability (P&L), fleet utilization, and ensuring a high standard of service to both internal and external customers across a range of industrial rental equipment. Key Responsibilities ⭐Operational Management: * Manage and oversee depot operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and profitability. * Maintain ISO 9001, 14000, and 18001 compliance and ensure the highest safety standards. * Lead SHEQ performance, monitor KPIs, hold monthly safety meetings, and drive continuous improvement. ⭐Fleet & Cost Control: * Maintain and monitor UK rental fleet performance, including utilization, availability, and return on rent. * Control operational costs, ensuring they remain within defined levels. * Manage purchase-to-pay processes and supplier checks. ⭐Team Leadership & Development: * Lead and mentor service team leaders for offshore, industrial, and steam services. * Conduct training needs analysis, create and implement training plans, and carry out yearly appraisals. * Hold regular service meetings, issue bulletins, and maintain clear communication across teams. ⭐Customer & Internal Liaison: * Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and depots to achieve shared goals. * Collate service and equipment performance data for customer records and audits. * Provide input at management and sales meetings, and present UK operational updates. Experience & Skills Required ✅ * Proven experience in industrial operations or service management, ideally within an engineering environment. * Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with reporting and analysis. * Ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and manage multi-site operations. * Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally)
