Position Summary
As Senior Buyer of Indirect, you will provide the sourcing strategy and processes to control and support all departments on indirect (non-product) spend, including but not limited to information technology, facilities, travel, telecom, Human Resources, Professional Services, marketing, and office supplies.
This role is based in our Manchester office and is a hybrid role, with some travel expected as it covers the EMEA region. The working pattern is 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working flexibly between 8am-6pm.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver annual cost savings and working capital improvements.
2. Lead strategic sourcing for indirect categories in the EMEA region and support the global procurement team with enterprise-wide agreements.
3. Plan, align, and execute key procurement strategies across all indirect categories.
4. Drive strategic sourcing and optimization activities across the enterprise by engaging with stakeholders and leveraging market knowledge.
5. Negotiate vendor contracts to ensure favorable terms for Light & Wonder.
6. Manage budgets effectively within your responsibility area, driving savings, value, minimizing risk, and operational efficiencies.
7. Support the development of procurement processes and build impactful vendor relationships across the company.
8. Implement procurement process improvements and ensure compliance with audit and SOX controls.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Ideally CIPS or MCIPS qualified.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Oracle, and/or Navision.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Proficient in presentation and report writing.
* Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across regions.
* Flexible and capable of multitasking, providing strategic direction across categories, and collaborating with overseas teams for cost avoidance, savings, and sustainable sourcing.
* Experience leading buyers in specific product categories.
