Job Description:
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm on the appointment of an SHEQ Manager.
As the SHEQ Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality management in compliance with legislation and company standards. You will design, implement, and monitor SHEQ policies to maintain high product standards and ensure safe, compliant working conditions.
In your new role:
* Advise management on all SHEQ matters and drive a safety-first culture
* Provide SHEQ induction and ongoing training, ensuring compliance and record maintenance
* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections, enforcing preventative measures
* Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
* Manage site safety for 3rd parties, including inductions, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
* Implement environmental policies to meet ISO 14001 and sustainability goals
* Monitor waste management, emissions, and energy efficiency initiatives
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and drive continuous quality improvements
* Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits
* Provide SHEQ performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management
* Promote SHEQ engagement across all levels and lead continuous improvement projects
What you will need to succeed:
* 3+ years’ experience within a similar Health & Safety role
* Relevant Health and Safety qualifications
* Experience with ISO standards and auditing (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
* IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
* Experience within the Manufacturing or Construction industries
* Experience in Lean Manufacturing
* IOSH Membership
* NEBOSH Diploma
