Qualified High Intensity Therapist (Band 7) - Counsellor
An opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic service providing high intensity psychological interventions for the North Lincs Talking Therapies team. We are looking for a psychotherapeutic counsellor who is energetic, enthusiastic, and skilled to join our team and contribute to the NHS Talking Therapies service. The service provides a stepped care, evidence-based model for the treatment of common mental health problems. You will work hard to meet targets and deliver a high-quality talking therapies service. It is essential for applicants to be trained in the NHS Talking Therapies counselling modality Counselling for Depression and hold relevant registration/accreditation.

Location: North Lincs Talking Therapies, 19 Market Hill, Scunthorpe, DN15 6SS
Salary: £47,810 to £54,710 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Full-time, Flexible working
Responsibilities
* Provide a qualified specialist psychological therapy service to clients in the modality of Counselling for Depression, including specialist psychological assessment and therapy within NHS Talking Therapies guidelines.
* Deliver therapy within one or more NHS Talking Therapies recognised psychological therapies family, including anxiety and depression management.
* Offer supervision to other colleagues as appropriate and work autonomously within professional guidelines and the team’s policies and procedures.
* Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development, and research within the area served by the team/service.
Qualifications
* Recognised/accredited postgraduate level training in a psychological therapy as specified for this job title
* Professionally registered/accredited as specified for this job title
Experience
* Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients within an NHS Talking Therapies service
* Experience of working with a variety of client groups and presenting problems across a range of clinical severity, maintaining professionalism in the face of distressing situations, including verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse
Knowledge
* Experience with one or more NHS Talking Therapies recognised psychological therapies at a specialist level
* High-level knowledge of theory and practice of one or more NHS Talking Therapies
* Knowledge of effective care pathway navigation across primary and secondary care psychological therapies services
