About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join our Engineering team at the Ossett Production Facility. In this dynamic role, you will provide essential technical engineering support to our Production function, working under the guidance of the Engineering Maintenance Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Conducting effective planned maintenance inspections and reviewing frequencies and parts used.
* Recommending improvements to maintenance schedules and performing safety checks on equipment.
* Overhauling and repairing plant equipment while monitoring conditions and reporting defects.
* Completing stores requisitions for parts and contract services.
* Performing in-depth root cause analysis for breakdowns and process failures.
* Generating and maintaining compliance with SOPs and Risk Assessments.
* Reporting plant performance and ensuring communication of non-conformance issues.
* Effectively communicating operational key information to colleagues and other shift teams.
* Supporting site services as required.
This is a permanent, full-time position operating on a 24/7 rotating shift pattern, so flexibility in working hours is essential.
Shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 5 off / 2 days, 3 nights, 4 off / 3 days, 2 nights, 5 off (14 shifts across 28 days, 7 days and 7 nights).
What You Can Bring to the Role
* A formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds level, NVQ level 3, or equivalent in a mechanical and/or electrical discipline, along with practical experience.
* Experience in continuous improvement.
* Proficiency in root cause analysis.
* PLC automation skills are a plus but not required.
* Training experience is beneficial.
* A commitment to upholding high engineering standards.
* A strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership.
* Flexibility around working hours.
