We have an exciting opportunity in our North West region for a qualified dialysis nurse to join our Diaverum bank. The role would cover shifts in Blackburn, Burnley or Blackpool clinics. Our bank offers flexibility to choose shifts and clinics, with an online booking system to access available shifts and book directly through the system. We are looking for individuals who want to make a difference in our patients’ lives by providing care according to Diaverum procedures to improve quality of life for our patients.
Responsibilities
* Follow care programmes for renal patients, including the initiation and termination of dialysis, while providing stable clinical care, emotional support and independence for patients.
* Follow tailored care plans to administer medications, fluid therapy or other appropriate treatments as per Consultant instructions and ensure clinical activity is documented in the patient medical record.
* Review pre- and post-haemodialysis care with patients.
* Prepare and monitor dialysis machines and systems in line with Diaverum processes.
* Provide treatment to a group of assigned patients, ensuring high-quality care at all times.
Requirements
* NMC Registered Nurse
* Awareness and understanding of the NMC code of professional conduct
* Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
* Experience as a Haemodialysis nurse within the UK
* Positive and dynamic approach to delivering safe and effective care
* Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
