Salary Grade Range: NJC Point 4 to 5 (Actual Salary £21,736.19-£22,079.69)
Hours of Work: 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday
8.00am to 3.30pm Friday – 37 hours per week
Weeks Worked: 45Weeks Term-time only; including school inset days

· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
· Good ICT skills with the ability to use a variety of office-based packages.
· Good organisational skills
· The competence to use their own initiative and has a calm friendly and professional manner.
· A strong attention to detail
· The ability to complete tasks with competing deadlines.

Purpose: To work in the main school office alongside the current administration assistant
Job Description:
Reception
· Provide friendly, professional, and effective first point of contact for callers, parents, students, visitors, supply staff, contractors, Governors and other stakeholders for the school.
· Manage communications such as telephone calls/visitors/emails and efficiently pass messages on, in a timely manner.
· Ensure school security arrangements are maintained, ensuring effective safeguarding procedures
· Provide hospitality for visitors to the school.
· Maintain the school reception area to a neat, tidy and clean appearance ensuring the school is shown at its very best at all times.
Administration
· Provide general clerical support
· Sort and distribute mail and prepare outgoing post
· Assist with recording of attendance of pupils and record absences
· Assist in the recording of school lunches
· Coordinate the organisation of educational visits
· Coordinate school communications including via social media channels
· Manage school calendar
· Assist in completing pupil registers; and maintaining accurate pupil records
· Management of the school's payment system
· Manage school office email inbox
Welfare
· Administer first aid/medications as and when required
· Maintain an accurate record of incidents
· To assist in the general welfare of pupils
The duties above are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the postholder may be required from time-to-time to undertake other duties within the school as may be reasonably expected.

Essential
· Flexibility, patience and a good sense of humour
· The ability to be proactive and use initiative and work well under pressure
· Computer Literate
· Good communication skills with a range of staff, pupils and external contacts
· Good interpersonal skills
· Good organisational skills and attention to detail
· To be able to work as part of a team
· Sympathy with the school's religious nature and ethos
Desirable
· Use of school information system/payment system (Bromcom, MCas)
· Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding policies
· Experience of working with MS teams/Google workspace
· Experience of working in a school environment
· First Aid training
